UCU Announces Key Staff Promotions

ORONO, Maine (November 26, 2024) – University Credit Union (UCU) is pleased to announce the following staff promotions.

Stephanie Beck has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Community Development. Previously serving as Vice President of Marketing and Community Development, Beck been a pivotal member of the UCU team since 2016, when she joined as Marketing Manager. As the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Community Development, she is a member of the senior management team and oversees both the both the Marketing and Community Engagement teams across the state, driving strategic initiatives and community outreach efforts with state-wide teams. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Maine.

Abbey Ramsay has advanced to Vice President of Lending. With over a decade at UCU, primarily in the lending area, Ramsay’s deep expertise and passion for lending are invaluable assets to the credit union. Most recently, she served as Consumer Lending Manager, AVP, where she streamlined UCU’s lending processes and enhanced member experience. In her new role, Ramsay will bring her commitment and leadership to the senior management team and to all of UCU’s areas; consumer, real estate and business. A recent graduate of CUNA Management School, she embodies UCU’s dedication to member-focused lending solutions. She holds an associate’s degree in communications from New England School of Communications.

Jess Francis has been promoted to HR & Executive Administrative Manager. Francis joined UCU in 2022 as Executive Administrator, bringing more than 18 years of experience in various credit union roles, including member services, administration, marketing, and management. She actively supports the community and was recognized as Champion the Cure Volunteer of the Year in 2023. In her expanded role, Francis will continue to support the leadership team and focus on human resources including benefits and staffing for the credit union. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maine.
