ORONO, Maine (November 26, 2019) – University Credit Union is pleased to announce Stacey Young, Assistant Vice President of Retail Services, has completed the intensive three-year Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School executive education program for credit union leaders as a member of the Class of 2019.

Every July, the University of Wisconsin and the City of Madison become home to credit union professionals from around the country who are investing in their professional development by enrolling in CUNA Management School. Taught by University of Wisconsin School of Business faculty along with credit union professionals and respected industry experts, students explore key executive responsibilities, financial operations and leadership techniques. CUNA Management School has a well-earned reputation as an outstanding three-year executive education program that builds dynamic leaders and has educated over 5,000 students.

“CUNA Management School is the credit union movement’s oldest and most prestigious higher education program,” said Deb White-Rideout, interim CEO of UCU. “Stacey has shown tremendous commitment and hard work over the last three years of this program, all in service to the betterment of our credit union, and we could not be more proud.”

A 26-year veteran of the financial services industry, Young has held nearly every position possible in retail banking, working her way from the teller line to loan officer to branch manager. Young joined UCU in 2012 as the Branch Manager in Bangor, and was named Retail Services Manager in 2016, a role she held until her appointment as AVP of Retail Services in March of 2018.

In her personal time, Young volunteers on the board of the Northern Light EMMC Auxiliary. She resides in Bangor with her family and works out of the credit union’s headquarters at 15 Main Street in Orono.
